An ice storm is a window into our beautiful world that God created! The intricate details, the colors, the light…it all speaks to hos creativity@
I have been waiting for years to photograph an ice storm. I photographed my first ice storm when I lived in Culpeper. I didn’t spend a lot of time experiencing the storm as I was working. I will never forget the shot I missed while walking into work. The tree along the sidewalk going into the building was covered in ice and the small berries were incased in ice. It was beautiful! I have not forgotten that scene and vowed I would not miss another ice storm! Well, low and behold ,we experienced one here in Johnstown early this morning. I went out after I had finished my devotionals and my breakfast. I didn’t think it was much of an ice storm and really didn’t want to get out of my pajamas, bundle up and go out. But I did just that, I went out. Here are my images. I used my 100 mm macro lens. I chose not to use my tripod this time. I walked around my house twice.
