Nature’s Testimony of God’s Love

Peaceful landscape with soft billowing clouds over the ocean framed by trees in the Galapagos islands
Psalm 147:8-Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
Psalm 96:11-Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
John 1:3-Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

God’s created works testify to His love and power. He has called the world into being, with all that it contains. God is a lover of the beautiful; and in the world which He has fitted up for us He has not only given us everything necessary for our comfort, but He has filled the heavens and the earth with beauty.

Job 37: 14-16-Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders.
15 Do you know how God controls the clouds and makes his lightning flash?
16 Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge

We see His love and care in the rich fields of autumn, and His smile in the glad sunshine. His hand has made the castle-like rocks and the towering mountains. The lofty trees grow at His command; He has spread earth’s green velvet carpet and dotted it with shrubs and flowers. . . .

Job 12:10-In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind

The same creative energy that brought the world into existence is still exerted in upholding the universe and continuing the operations of nature. The hand of God guides the planets in their orderly march through the heavens. It is not because of inherent power that year by year the earth continues her motion round the sun and produces her bounties.

Psalm 19:1-The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

The word of God controls the elements. He covers the heavens with clouds and prepares rain for the earth. He makes the valleys fruitful and “grass to grow upon the mountains;” Psalm 147:8.—White, E.G. Counsels to Parents, Teachers, and Students, p. 185.

Colossians 1:17-He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Isaiah 45:12-It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands and I ordained all their host.
Romans1:20-For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
