What’s your favorite cartoon?
My favorite cartoon was “The Road Runner”. The Road Runner cartoons featured the Road Runner, a fast-moving character, and Wile E. Coyote, a coyote who is always chasing the Road Runner. I laughed so much watching The Road Runner! It was very funny!
In each episode, the cunning, devious and constantly hungry coyote repeatedly attempts to catch and eat the roadrunner, but is humorously unsuccessful. Instead of using animal instinct, the coyote deploys absurdly complex contraptions to try to catch his prey. They comically backfire, with the coyote often getting injured in slapstick fashion.
The characters were created for Warner Bros in 1948 by animation director Chuck Jones and writer Michael Maltese, with Maltese also setting the template for their adventures. The characters star in a long-running series of theatrical cartoon shorts (the first 16 of which were written by Maltese) and occasional made-for-television cartoons.
Mel Blanc provided the voice for the coyote from 1952–1989. He also was the voice for the Road Runner at various times.
Wile E. Coyote often obtains various complex and ludicrous devices from a mail-order company, the fictitious Acme Corporation, which he hopes will help him catch the Road Runner. The devices invariably fail in improbable and spectacular fashion.
The charecters adhered to some simple but strict rules; however these rules have been dismissed as “post production observation”.

- “Whenever possible, make gravity the Coyote’s greatest enemy.”
